This four-day workshop will provide a foundational course in
substance abuse prevention with a target audience being
prevention provider staff, especially new hires, and
professionals working in related fields. SAPST is grounded in
current research and SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention
Framework. The curriculum is designed to provide
participants with knowledge and skills to implement effective,
data-driven prevention programs, practices, and policies that
reduce behavioral disparities and improve wellness.
This is an OASAS required training within the first year of hire.
26 OASAS credit hours will be provided.
